Fifty years ago today.  Hard to forget the hurt and pain.  He was only 39 years old.  Thank you Dr. King for accepting your mission and the struggle, giving us your example and making the ultimate sacrifice.

“Darkness cannot drive out darkness:  only light can do that.  Hate cannot drive out hate:  only love can do that.”  Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. sermon on love 1957.

Happy New Year and Remembering Sylvester Potts

Happy New Year to all!  We are looking forward to a fantastic 2018!

Today is one year since Sylvester Potts, one of the first members of The Contours, our friend and mentor passed.  His vitality and energy inspired all of us.  He loved his music and we are proud to carry his legacy into the future.

The picture below is taken of us on the steps of the original recording studio of Motown Records, now the Hitsville Museum, on West Grand Boulevard in Detroit.  Humble beginnings for the music that would change the world.

Wherever you are — whatever you do — know that you can use your gifts to radically impact our world for the better one step at the time!
